This Catspaw wooden sailboat is Joel White's reinterpretation of Nat Herreshoff's classic Columbia tender and is a work of art, with exceptional handcrafted workmanship.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this versatile boat is both an amazing sailboat for novice level to experienced sailors in both light and strong winds, as well as an enjoyable rowing vessel.
Constructed to exacting standards in the traditional fashion, this Catspaw wooden sailboat features native Maine cedar, a bent white oak frame, bronze hardware, hand-peened copper rivet fastenings.
It also serves as a spacious yacht tender and is small enough to be classified as a dinghy, thereby having the cost benefit of being able to dock it under that classification.
Its exploration capabilities extend to both nearby harbors and distant coves, making it a perfect vessel for leisurely water activities. Its stability allows for on-water picnics.
The Catspaw design is known to be a reliable sailboat and a great investment.
